What you’ll be doing:
The team provides design, assessment, inspection, construction support and management services on a wide range of rail projects and our services offered to our clients include feasibility studies, outline designs and detailed designs.
- Preparation of technical outputs to the highest standards.
- Help to develop the production of drawings, reports and specifications working closely with Engineers and Technicians to delivery to programme.
- Undertaking the necessary design (calculations, design, risk assessments, etc.) supported by other team members including technicians to produce the required design deliverable outputs.
- Resolving technical civil engineering issues.
- Scope and supervise surveys.
- Clients include private and public sector like Network Rail, HS2, HS1, TfL, TfGM and various Tier 1 contractors.
- Help to grow the team through Bidding, Line Management and Business Improvement activities.

What you’ll bring:
- Experience within Rail Civils and Structures covering all stages of the scheme lifespan.
- Experience of undertaking Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) roles, with support on further enhancement of CRE capabilities.
- Familiar and compliant with relevant Health, Safety and Welfare regulations.
- A Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject accredited by the Engineering Council.
- Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or nearing Chartered status.
- Experience in delivering and managing all stages of multi-disciplinary engineering projects from initial studies through to detailed design.
- Working knowledge of the relevant legislation and guidelines including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, British and European Standards, Eurocodes and Codes of Practice.
