BWB Graduate Programme
Our Graduate Programme is the perfect place for you if you are an ambitious and passionate individual. Our programme offers you the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented and respected engineers and consultants in the industry and help you reach your full potential through a technical syllabus & skills development programme. You will receive independent mentoring, support through to Chartership and the opportunity to gain responsibility on a range of exciting projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Producing design solutions and AutoCAD/MicroStation/OpenBridge drawings for our bridge engineering projects, fully supported by our experienced team of engineers and technicians.
- Working on smaller projects that allow you to develop your practical skillset.
- Progressing to work independently on larger and more challenging projects.
- Developing skills in designing highway and railway structures, which consist of a variety of construction forms, with an appreciation for sustainable development.
- Collaborating on a range of projects, delivering unique solutions for a variety of clients.
- Engaging in a wide range of schemes, each with specific design requirements and constraints.
- Contributing to a broad variety of projects that help develop and improve societies and the economy while aiming for a sustainable future.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or in your final year studying towards this.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and other industry software.
- Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better.
- Great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience - academically, socially and in any previous work settings.
- Enthusiasm and ambition to learn and progress.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with effective communication.
- Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Right to Work and live in the UK.
- Relevant work experience in the engineering industry, either through internships or as part of an academic course, is highly desirable.
