BWB Graduate Programme
Our Graduate Programme is the perfect place for you if you are an ambitious and passionate individual. Our programme offers you the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented and respected engineers and consultants in the industry and help you reach your full potential through a technical syllabus & skills development programme. You will receive independent mentoring, support through to Chartership and the opportunity to gain responsibility on a range of exciting projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Working alongside experienced civil engineers developing skills in the design of rail civils, structures and structural foundations. Examples of lineside civils are bridges, gantries, retaining walls, cable & troughing, drainage systems and concrete plinths for ancillary structures and equipment.
- Assisting the rail team in providing a comprehensive design and advisory service, focused on meeting the engineering challenges involved in servicing the infrastructure requirements of renewal, enhancement and turnkey projects.
- Working across all types of railway systems with clients ranging from local developers through to international contractors working for public sector bodies.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
- A relevant degree, such as Civil and/or Structural Engineering degree, or studying towards a relevant degree for the role you are applying for
- Keen to share your ideas about how we can do things better
- Great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience - academically, socially and in any previous work situations
- Enthusiastic and ambitious attitude, keen to learn and progress
- Problem solving and strong communication skills
- Personal organisation skills, and the ability to work well within a team
